An arrest warrant has been issued for a man accused of taking an imitation gun into an eatery after he failed to show up to court.

Officers had been called after reports McDonald was brandishing the handgun at the eatery, with customers reporting that he had been cleaning it.
He allegedly made threats in the car park.

McDonald was bailed after his arrest at the venue on March 1 but failed to attend the Wodonga Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
"If he hasn't appeared, I'm minded to seek a warrant," magistrate Ian Watkins said.
He is facing six charges, including weapons offences and assaulting and resisting police.
