Emergency services were called to the Riverina Highway, near the intersection of Elizabeth Mitchell Drive in Thurgoona, about 5.30am.
A man was trapped in his vehicle after the crash, which is believed to have involved a truck.

Multiple ambulance crews attended with the Albury and Border Rescue Squad, police and firefighters.
The 69-year-old man was taken to Albury hospital after being freed from his vehicle.
A NSW Ambulance spokesman said he was in a serious condition with lower leg injuries.
Traffic was diverted around the crash but the scene has been cleared.
