Police have recovered a sawn-off firearm after apprehending a wanted man with a string of arrest warrants to his name.

Keith King, 26, allegedly tried to run past police at a Wagga Road motel in Lavington on Thursday.
It's alleged he also resisted officers' attempts to arrest him.
After he was subdued, a search of the room allegedly found a shortened .22 calibre rifle and ammunition.
King was handcuffed and taken back to the Albury police station for questioning by investigators.

The 26-year-old - who had five warrants out for his arrest, including for three different matters dating to 2016, and for a 2018 matter - was charged with six new offences.
The charges include resisting arrest, possessing a shortened firearm without authority, ammunition possession, and failure to safely store a firearm.
The 26-year-old appeared before Albury Local Court on Friday.
He will return to the court on Wednesday.
