"We have had some people who have blatantly breached (the restrictions)," he said.
"We've had four arrests in this police district, just in relation to people not accepting the current situation.

"We have seen other people come through checkpoints, even (on Wednesday), carrying drugs and other contraband who were detected.
"There are still some fools coming through."
More than 800 vehicles, or about 0.1 per cent of all traffic, have been denied entry into the state since the border closed.
Those arrested didn't have a permit and refused to turn around.
"Compliance has been extremely good," Superintendent Smith said.
"Probably some people, it wouldn't matter what you told them, they're still going to flaunt the situation and they're people we certainly will be taking action against."
He urged drivers to avoid peak times.
