Police will hand out care packages for those in need in the North East as part of an agreement with the Mungabareena Aboriginal Corporation.

Wodonga officers have received packages of food, coronavirus packs and packages to help those those who are in need.
Police received the packages on Friday, which will be handed out by officers to Indigenous people in the region who require them.
Mungabareena outreach worker Denise Ezzy said police had also helped make face masks at the Wodonga station with those from the service earlier this week.

"We've built a really good bridge with the police," she said.
"It's about building on relationships with the community and police during these really hard times.
"Some of the packages will go to people who have chronic disease.
"The rest are for community members who have rung in and sought them.
"We wanted to make sure people had enough fresh fruit and vegetables in the cupboard in case they couldn't go out and get more."
Ms Ezzy said many Indigenous people would be struggling to access the items due to the pandemic.
"It will definitely make them feel they're not being forgotten while in isolation," she said.
"We are here to be able to assist them.
"Hopefully this will ease things for them.
"We want the community to know we are here to help and to not hesitate to call."
The group hopes to be able to make further donations.
Further care packages are expected to be ready towards the end of next week.
The initiative was started by the corporation, with support from police.
