Over two weeks, youths aged from as young as 11 years old up to their 20s have been holding Zoom meetings to come up with priorities to recommend to Indigo Council.
They wanted to fill the gap of a lack of youth consultation on the topic.
Some of their top concerns were rising greenhouse gases, cases of valuing economic gain over environmental impact and loss of habitat.
They said Indigo could use more electric cars, hold more farmers' markets to get food from the source and have more community gardens run by students.

The idea for the youth gatherings came from former Indi MP Cathy McGowan.
"You guys know stuff that people like me don't know and if you don't tell us, we're never going to know," she said.
"We absolutely, desperately need to know what you think ... As you talk to each other, you'll come up with some really good ideas that we'll be able to put to council."
