The Ostriches booted the opening four goals of the match to race to a 22-point lead at the first change, but could only muster two more majors for the day as the Bulldogs ran out 7.8 (50) to 6.6 (42) victors.
In game of two halves, Osborne had the upper hand with a 17-point advantage at the main break, but the Bulldogs booted six goals to one from then on to take the points.
Marty Bahr and Matt Rava, who finished with one major, were the Ostriches' best, while Billy Alexander and Declan Galvin nabbed two goals apiece.

Osborne president Jason Gooden admitted the Bulldogs wanted it more in the second half.
"Turvey were too good in the end," Gooden said.
"Two teams have to miss out (on finals), so it's thrown the cat among the pigeons now."
Jesse Margosis, Tyler Cunningham and Jack Haggar led the way for the Bulldogs.
Osborne was also without Nick Perryman for the majority of the contest after he suffered an eye injury and went to hospital.
Meanwhile, Albury star Brayden O'Hara was outstanding in Wagga Tigers' 20-point win against Mangoplah-Cookardinia United-Eastlakes at Mangoplah.
He dominated in the midfield and his pinpoint disposal resulted in a number of goals.
Former coach Shaun Campbell was hard at it and Luke Gestier bobbed up in attack with three majors.
Justin Jenkins kept star MCUE recruit Trent Castles to just two goals.
Leeton-Whitton held off Ganmain-Grong Grong-Matong by five points.
