The Mitch Beer trained Jawwaal looks testing material at Wagga on Thursday

Jawwaal bounced back to winning form last start at Albury when he donkey licked his rivals to win by an astonishing 11-lengths.

Beer said he can see no reason why Jawwaal can't continue on his winning ways when he lines-up in the $30,000 Class Three Handicap, (1200m).

Jawwaal faces a field of 14-runners with jockey Josh Richards booked to ride again.

Beer looks to have several strong chances at the meeting amongst his seven runners.

Although well-bred gelding Packer's Bond could be saved for next week's Albury meeting after also drawing the extreme outside barrier.

Beer pinpointed Jawwaal as his best winning hope.

"It's hard to go past Jawwaal after his last-start performance," Beer said.

"He has drawn terribly but has the tactical speed to overcome the barrier.

"He isn't going up dramatically in the weights.

"He only has to produce half a good as run as last start to be hard to beat."

Jawwaal is quoted as a dominant $2.30-favourite in pre-post markets.

Beer also has a strong hand in the feature sprint with four runners engaged in the $35,000 Ian Reid Sprint, (1200m).

Logan River ($4.40) and Enzed Beer ($6.50) are both prominent in pre-post markets.

Stablemates Bezos ($10) and Damselflys Kept ($14) are also not without a winning hope.

Logan River returned to racing in impressive fashion when winning first-up from a 15-week spell at Wagga earlier this month.

"I have got a few chances in the sprint with four runners," he said.

"I thought Logan River was fairly impressive when resuming in similar grade.

"Enzed Beer is back from a let-up and I would have preferred to be going into this race with a trial under his belt.

"But he had a hoof abscess and then most tracks have been a heavy 10 lately so he will go into the race a bit underdone.

"He is a fairly classy horse on his day though."

Beer was also looking forward to the debut of Meladia in the $30,000 3YO Maiden Handicap, (1200m).

The three-year-old grey filly is yet to trial publicly.

"She is a half-sister to The Candy Man and has shown some promising signs," he said.

"I think she has the potential to be a nice filly in the making."

In an open race Meladia is a $6.50-chance in pre-post markets with Dancin Til Dawn the $4.60-favourite.

Beer said he would also have a strong team for Albury Racing Club's meeting next week on September 3.
