Albury Harness Racing club president Sue van de Ven has allayed fears the highly popular event could be cancelled this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
"The great news is regardless of whether visitors are allowed to attend, is New Year's Eve will go ahead," van de Ven said.
"At our last committee meeting we committed to hosting the meeting with the band and fireworks.
"The likelihood is there will be restrictions in the size of the crowd.

"But the committee felt that the trots and fireworks on New Year's Eve was a tradition for a lot of families on the border.
"We want to ensure that the tradition continues this year.
"It also gives the people who have parties at home and are in the vicinity of the showgrounds are also able to watch the fireworks.
"We are unsure about the restrictions regarding the children's entertainment and those sorts of things.
"But hopefully by the new year, a lot of restrictions have been eased and things are getting back to normal."
The club will hold its next three meetings on October 20, November 13 and December 31.
