Police have not commented publicly on her death but released a statement following the incident.
A 21-year-old woman was arrested by officers at the time, but was released without charge.
Police this week confirmed nobody had been charged over the case and the investigation remained open.
More than 600 people viewed a live stream of her funeral 13 days after her death, which Pastor Jason Mannering described as an "evil, brutal and commandment-breaking act".

She had spent time in a refugee camp in Uganda and was originally from the Congo.
She reportedly married in November 1996.
Her body was laid to rest at the Wodonga Cemetery, surrounded by a small number of Ms Nyiratingabandi's loved ones due to coronavirus restrictions, including children who held up a photograph of the late woman.
