A man accused of threatening to stab a woman while holding a knife in her home, before punching her in the face, has been refused bail.

Dylan Meyers appeared in the dock of the Wodonga Magistrates Court on Thursday with cuts to his face after allegedly being a passenger during a dangerous high-speed police pursuit.
The vehicle he was in last Friday allegedly hit speeds of 160km/h before crashing into a grandmother's car containing her grandchildren at Beechworth.
The alleged driver, Reece Lesslie, remains in hospital.
The court heard he had kicked in a locked rear door at the Vincent Road home as a woman, 20, slept inside.
The other man fled, but Meyers allegedly demanded money and her phone and watched as she got dressed.
The victim armed herself with a knife from a knife block, allegedly causing Meyers to do the same and threaten to stab her.
The court heard the victim fled outside yelling out for help, chased by the 19-year-old, who grabbed her and struck her, causing her to fall to the concrete ground.
Meyers allegedly fled the scene when a person came to the victim's aid.
Police allege he was shown running on CCTV footage from the Caltex service station about 100 metres away.
He was hospitalised after the crash on Beechworth-Chiltern Road last on Friday afternoon, but checked himself out against medical advice.
Meyers surrendered to police in Wodonga on Monday after calling to see if he was wanted.

It is alleged a knife used in the home invasion was recovered, along with the clothes he was wearing.
The teenager denied any involvement, with police still awaiting phone records, and DNA and fingerprint results.
At least one other man is still being sought.
Detective Neal Thompson told the court he was concerned by the "escalation of violence" shown by Meyers and said he was an unacceptable risk to the community.
Meyers has a large tattoo on his throat, which the detective said looked "strikingly similar" to the one described by the woman.
He was refused bail to November 18, while Lesslie will return to court on October 22.
