The Hockey-Albury Wodonga board and clubs voted to abandon the 2020 season in June, but the past eight weeks have been extremely positive for the sport with the formation of a hockey eights competition, culminating in grand finals at Albury Hockey Centre on Saturday.
Grey takes on Pink in the women's premier division decider.
The midfield of Jess Madden and Erinne Lutz will be key for Grey if they are to overcome the dominant Pink forward line led by Tess Palubiski and Bella Heagney.
Yellow meets Blue in the consolation final.

Rachael Jacks will be hoping to control the forward line of the Blue team with Clodagh Blain and Chloe Davis showing some great form in recent weeks.
In the men's, both Orange and Grey will be without key players for their grand final showdown.
Sam McIntosh has been ruled out for Orange, while Sam Quick won't take the field for Grey.
The two sides have some close encounters throughout the season with a draw and a 4-3 win to Grey.
Black and Red face off in the consolation final, with captains Matt Graham and Patrick Baine chasing final bragging rights.
"Our motto for this competition is 'against the odds" and it was. It's great to make it to the end," HAW sport operations manager Cayte Campbell said.
Finals games start at 2pm.
