Myer's Albury store has confirmed Father Christmas will be returning for the festive season to continue the tradition of taking pictures alongside residents.
However, while we still remain in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, the occasion may not be the same this year.
"Although some experiences may look a little different, we will still be bringing the magic and joy of Christmas to life at the store through our popular Giftorium, with it's leading range of gifting, personalisation and on-trend Christmas trim, as well as experiences including being able to visit and have your photo taken with our COVID-safe Santa," Myer Albury store manager Chris Boneham said.
"During COVID we've focused on delivering a great retail experience in the safest possible way for our Albury customers and this will continue to be our focus for Christmas."
IN OTHER NEWS:
Santa usually lands on the top carpark at Myer via helicopter and is expected to again.
"It's usually a pretty good crowd there watching," Helifly chief pilot Marianne Evans said.
Albury's West End Plaza and Lavington Square are hopeful they too will have Santa visit next month, but have not confirmed his arrival.
Across the Border, Mann Central Shopping Centre and Birallee Village Shopping Centre have both confirmed there will be no Santa.
After not hosting Santa in previous years, they said it's not practical given COVID-19 restrictions.
Wodonga plaza are still finalizing their plans.
If the centre decides against it, it may mean Victorian residents will have to travel north of the Border.
