The actor, best known for his role as Erinsborough Police Detective Mark Brennan on the long-time Australian TV soap, is believed to be one of a number of new owners to take over the Belmore Street Hotel.
The Terminus closed for renovations in June after announcing it was under new ownership through its Facebook page.
It is yet to reopen its doors to patrons.
Mr McGregor's social media post said he had even helped with the design elements for the pub.
"I even managed to get back on the design tools and did the logo and branding (I was a designer prior to being Ramsay Street's finest C-grade police officer)," he wrote.
"Can't wait to be able to open the doors and sit and enjoy a beer with the great bunch of lads who all own her."
IN OTHER NEWS:
The pub was originally built in 1882, but the new owners have spent the last few months revamping it.
A job advertisement posted to the Terminus' Facebook page outlined some of the changes.
"The Terminus Yarrawonga has been restored into a classic yet modern pub with a public bar, TAB/Sports Bar and beer garden with an open dining room with a focus on providing gastro-style food that's different from anything else in the region," it said.
"Service will be bustling throughout the summer months as the town is a destination for tourists."
Mr McGregor left Neighbours in 2020.
The pub has been advertising for new chefs, waiters and bartenders.
