Willett was selected for his second Olympic Games in April, but had his preparation decimated by COVID-19 restrictions.
The Tokyo Games were postponed until August 2021 and with no international events this year, Willett wants to use this weekend to get back into a competitive mindset.
Willett's Olympic teammate Laetisha Scanlan is among the field of shooters from Victoria, NSW and Queensland to compete for the Australian Clay Target Association Riverina Zone Olympic Trap Championship.

"We've had a couple of small events at the farm which we've ran ourselves, but it's the first bigger event," he said.
"It's a good one to finish off the year with and get a few of the competitors from our Australian team up for a good shoot.
"It's just another competition to keep the routine under pressure going and see where we're at after a big break from major competitions."
The 24-year-old is unsure if international events will be on the radar next year.
"We're just getting back into training now for our summer and hopefully we'll get a few more events in next year," he said.
Willett doesn't have another competition shoot until mid-January before the state titles in February.
