Starting as the third favourite, Manners Honey ($4.40) won the $22,000 Maiden Plate, (1200m) with John Kissick aboard.
Despite drawing awkwardly in barrier seven, Kissick found the front on Manners Honey and rated the mare to perfection.
The five-year-old quickly established a two length break shortly after entering the home straight.
Although getting tired on the line, Manners Honey held on to score by .3-lengths over the fast finishing Shy Girl ($10).
The victory was a huge thrill for the Wise stable after she also bred the mare.
"We have got the stallion (Maner Hill) and the mum (Hold Me Honey)," Wise said.
"Manners Honey suffered a bad injury as a three-year-old so we turned her out.
"So we have had to be patient with her but the win today makes it all worth it.
"My brother owned the mare (Hold Me Honey) and her first foal got caught in a lightning strike and badly injured her leg.
"So we were hoping this one could be just as good."

Manners Honey won a trial at Wagga last month in her only other public appearance.
"She surprised me a bit when she won the trial," she said.
"She is a very quite mare so I put the blinkers on hoping something would change.
"It ended up working a treat."
Wise trains a small team of four horses including veteran galloper Dezzy who has run two minor placings this preparation after resuming in October.
Meanwhile jockey Blaike McDougall extended his red-hot form with a winning double.
The Albury hoop has been riding in career best form and had notched four trebles in eight days leading into the Wagga meeting.
