Border shooter James Willett finished an interrupted 2020 season on a high with victory in the ACTA Riverina Zone ISSF Trap Championships on his family's Mulwala farm at the weekend.

Willett took out the AA category and overall win with 94 of 100 targets to pip Rio 2016 Olympian Mitch Iles on 91.
Laetisha Scanlan, who will shoot with Willett at next year's Tokyo Olympics, was third with 90 targets.
The shoot attracted 30 entries from across Victoria, NSW and even Queensland.

"The day saw four seasons of weather starting off hot and sunny in the morning and finished off being cold and raining," Willett said.
"Our promatic traps performed flawlessly throughout the competition and provided fantastic targets."
Winners were as follows:
Overall and AA: James Willett (94); A: Phil Matthews (77); B: Grant Prior (82); C: Garb Palmer (85).
Willett, Palmer and Angus Ferguson were selected for the Riverina zone team, with Matthews first reserve.
