Around 2.40pm, Fire and Rescue NSW received multiple triple-O calls for a grass fire near cars and buildings on Fallon Street.
It spread into ASV Euro Asia.
Fire and Rescue NSW Regional Zone Commander Stewart Alexander said assets were destroyed but the fire burnt less than half a hectare.
"An RFS tanker was re-fuelling on the other side of the airport and saw the smoke, so they got around there pretty quickly and put some water onto the grass," he said.
"The fire had spread into some vehicles parked on the fence line, so we got stuck into those.
"Unfortunately, three trucks and a trailer in there were destroyed.
"There is nothing to indicate anything suspicious."
IN OTHER NEWS:
Superintendent Alexander said it appeared high winds had taken some insulation from nearby roofing and impacted power lines, but there had not been a fault.
"Essential Energy confirmed they were safe," he said.
"It is very unusual ... police will have a closer look to rule out anything suspicious."
The fire was contained by 5pm.
