More than 1600 racegoers flocked to the course with dozens of businesses holding their annual Christmas parties.
Punters could move freely around the course to have a punt and a drink for the first time since March after Racing NSW announced patrons no longer needed to be seated when consuming alcohol.
Club chief executive officer Steve Hetherton said he was pleasantly surprised by the support of patrons.
"It was a terrific crowd and probably the equivalent to what we have attracted for the Country Championships over the past two years," Hetherton said.
"Financially it was a huge success for the club.
"We had a bit of luck with the weather for once and with the easing of restrictions had a lot of people who hadn't booked turn up on race day.
"It was great to just have the atmosphere back and some of the local trainers and jockeys have success on the day."

Hetherton said the club will now turn its attention to Boxing day and growing the meeting.
The club raced on Boxing day for the first time last year.
"We have already taking numerous bookings and there has been a lot of inquiries," he said.
