The club raced on Boxing Day for the first time last year but a scorching 40 degree day resulted in a crowd of less than 500.
But club chief executive officer Steve Hetherton said with a forecast of 29 degrees on Saturday, the meeting had the potential to be one of the biggest outside its award winning carnival in March.
"We have got almost 200 pre-booked which is a promising sign," Hetherton said.
"Last year we had no luck with the weather but if it stays under 30 degrees as forecast, we would be delighted."

The meeting attracted 89 nominations for the five race card.
Bookmakers will be on course for the non-TAB meeting.
Gates open at 12.45pm with the first race scheduled for 2.37pm.
Tickets can be pre-purchased online or by contacting the club on (02) 6025 1333.
Alternatively tickets can be purchased at the gate on race day.
Hetherton said the race day was an ideal way to catch up with friends and relax.
"A lot of people return home for Christmas and the races give people a chance to relax and catch-up," he said.
"There is no need to dress up and casual attire is recommended.
"We will have plenty of screens on course with the Boxing day test as well as all the metropolitan racing action.
"We have also been able to secure 'Battlestar Acoustica' who regularly appear at Crown Casino."
