According to the Bureau of Meteorology's weather station, which is located at the Albury Airport, 64.2 millimetres of rain fell from 9am Friday to 9am Saturday.
The average monthly rainfall for January is 47.9 millimetres.
Across the North East, the Border was hit the heaviest, followed by Rutherglen who received 56 millimetres in that same 24 hours.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Yarrawonga missed out on most of the wet weather only recording 12.6 millimetres while Wangaratta had 27 millimetres.
BoM is predicting some more showers today in Albury-Wodonga with the possibility of a thunderstorm.
