Police started packing up from 6pm on Friday night after Premier Daniel Andrews made the rest of NSW green except for the Cumberland local government area.
Despite no official statement from either the state government or Victoria Police the checkpoints have been removed on Saturday.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Police are working to remove the infrastructure set up on the Hume Freeway at Wodonga with traffic being diverted off the Wodonga city exit.
Delays are still expected.
While no physical checkpoints remain, residents are being reminded to always carry their photo ID if a border residents or a valid permit as police will be doing roving checks.
