Albury Magpies Hockey Club to host fun morning to kick-off 50-year celebrations

The Border outfit has several events planned throughout the year to recognise the half century milestone and aims to start the new season off in style with a family fun morning at Albury Hockey Centre on Sunday.

Magpies' new committee, headed by president Ben Hawkins, has invited all past, present and future players and supporters to come along and enjoy a sausage sizzle, icy pole and come and try hockey with mini games to be set up.

Members will be on hand to speak about the family-oriented Hockey Albury-Wodonga club and what it can offer, be it a dream to play for Australia or a social avenue to make friendships.

Information on how to register for Magpies for the upcoming HAW season will also be made available on the day.

The family event will run from 10am to 12pm.
