Max and Levi Geering are contesting the competitive division one in the Albury Wodonga Table Tennis Association, with older sibling Max taking out the club championship last year.
Max polled in the State's elite last year at under 15 level, while Levi was eighth in the under 13s.
"Coaching with Sam Parker has been great, I think pretty much my whole game has improved a fair bit," year 10 student Max said.
"Some people might look at it as the backyard ping pong, but at the higher levels, it becomes more technical and strategic."
The tight-knit club is extremely proud of its 'young guns'.
"Max and Levi have come along in leaps and bounds, progressing through our divisions in quick time." pennant coordinator Ian Radley said.
"They are both number one players in their teams and even though they are young age-wise, they're 'mature' in attitude, ability and understanding the game."
Levi contested his first nationals in 2019, prior to COVID wiping out much of last year's competition.
As the younger sibling, by two years, he was asked who wins most of the time?
"I usually win," he laughed as Max jokingly interjected in the background.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"Actually, Max wins 75 percent of the time."
The club's grading night was held last Wednesday, but those willing to play in the various pennant competition grades can still contact coordinator Radley on 0408-154-381.
