The home team hammered the Bulldogs by 80 runs to leap into the top four, while Wodonga fell from second to seventh after the weekend's double header.
Lavington's top three in Matt Sharp (78 runs), coach Daryl Tuffey (54) and Nathan Brown (47) set up the thumping win in posting 6-232.
"'Sharpy' and myself were able to lay the foundation and it was then easier for the guys coming in to play their natural games," Tuffey said.
"Nathan Brown came in and whacked 40-odd off not many and Chris Galvin did the same.
"It's what we've tried to do for a while, but it was good to put it into play today."
The ultra consistent Sharp played a patient knock, posting his half-century from 138 deliveries, including six boundaries.
Tuffey also took his time, striking four boundaries and a six from 94 balls.
The pair combined in a 121-run stand and then Brown blasted three boundaries and two sixes from just 40 balls.
When the openers left, Lavington was 2-158, allowing Brown and Galvin (22 from 12 balls) to smash Wodonga's attack, which was missing the ever reliable Byron Hales.
Fellow star Cam Suidgeest was superb with 2-23 from nine overs.
Wodonga had received a pre-match boost when boom Griffith recruit Theo Valeri elected to play after he was originally going to miss with rep commitments for his home town.
And the classy left-hander gave glimpses of what the association might expect in the run home with a quickfire 38 from 36 balls.
Valeri is rated as one of the cleanest strikers in the Riverina zone and he had six boundaries before Brown ripped through his defence.
The Riverina star has played only five games, due to a combination of living outside the Border bubble and therefore being unable to play due to COVID-19 restrictions, along with suffering a groin injury before Christmas.
No other batsman made 20 as Brown backed up his earlier efforts with 4-23, while opener David Tassell snared 3-41.

"It was a really big weekend, all our teams did really well this week, so I'm really proud of the club," Tuffey added.
There's now four games left with Lavington away to Belvoir in round 19.
