Almost $15,000 has so far been raised for three-time Winter Olympian Steven Lee via an online GoFundMe page.
The fundraising efforts come after the World Cup winner suffered a stroke at his Falls Creek home in September last year.
Lee will now require around the clock care for the rest of his life.
His support network, The Steve Lee Support Tribe, created the GoFundMe earlier this month on behalf of the Steven Lee Trust, with an accompanying statement.

"Now months later, the reality of Steve's condition has set in," the statement said.
"Whilst we hold hope for recovery, we are planning for the harsh reality that Steve will need much more support than we could ever have imagined.
"Steve currently requires physical assistance or supervision for all daily living activities and will require a lot of support through the rest of his healing journey."
The current fundraising total stands at $14,320 after it was created on February 3.
