Ankers will link with the Pies once his commitments with Waratah in the Top End are completed.
The pacy midfielder starred in the club's 26-point elimination final win over Darwin Buffaloes last weekend, racking up 34 disposals - 14 more than his nearest rival - to bolt in best on ground.
The O and M hasn't seen a recent player with Filo's sublime skills, which saw him claim the top award and finish joint runner-up in two full seasons at Wodonga Raiders.
"They're both midfielders, but different players as well," Waratah coach Ryan Ayres said.
"I think Brodie probably has a little bit more class, but 'Abes', he finds the footy, wins the footy inside and he's got speed on the outside and a higher workrate.
