A top 10 finish at the recent NSW Country Championships in Sydney raised the eyebrows of several officials and was followed by a dominant display at last weekend's Ovens and Murray Championships in Wodonga.

Albury was represented by 92 swimmers who captured 94 gold, 64 silver and 48 bronze medals to be crowned the district's premier club for a fifth consecutive year.

Head coach Wayne Gould said the resurgence is thanks to a stable coaching and squad structure and the backing of a tireless committee and committed parents.

"I'm very proud to be head coach of such a vibrant and historic swimming club that over the years has involved so many people from the local community who have both represented in the water or assisted in running the club," Gould said.

"All the squads are brimming with very talented kids.

"This is evident with the ability and eagerness of the 45 juniors competing in Melbourne in a fortnight's time at the All Juniors Finals competition.

"This says a lot about the depth and the future of this powerful club."

Ten athletes have qualified for the Australian age and open championships on the Gold Coast in April.
