Sharp went down with the injury during the third term and was on crutches after the match.
He is set to visit a specialist this week to assess the extent of the damage.
In a further blow for the Saints, Ryan Crisp hobbled off the ground also with an ankle complaint before half-time.
Liam Hood was also stretchered off the ground during the first-half.
Up to four Saints now face a race against time to be fit for their season opener against North Albury on Easter Sunday after Riley Booker dislocated his shoulder against Bright the previous week.
Lavington scored a comfortable 10.13 (73) to 6.5 (41) victory with both sides missing more than half-a-dozen stars.
Grand final hero and Did Simpson medallist Shaun Mannagh missed the hitout.
He is expected to spend most of the season in the new-look VFL competition with Werribee.
Brant Dickson, Adam Butler alongside Murray Bushrangers Macca Hallows and Clayton Marsh were also notable absentees for the reigning premiers.
Brock-Burrum recruit Nico Sedgwick also didn't play with speculation rife he is contemplating a return to his former club.
Myrtleford also opted to rest some of its biggest names including Matt Dussin, Frazer and Lachie Dale, Taylor Hunt, Matt Munro, Hugh Wales and Nathan Laracy.
