The Lavington venue had its new lights accredited on Thursday in time for Saturday night's double header to open the season.
St Pats and Albury Hotspurs' women clash at 6pm, followed by Melrose and Albury City's men at 8pm.
Melrose vice-president Chad Thomson said the project has been about three years in the making.

"It's a bit different to when I started when we had one light pole down the bottom end that we used to train under," he said.
"Council has been really good and come to the party, so a big thanks to them."
The club's next project is the construction of new clubrooms, which is set to commence after the season.
In other round one matches, Wangaratta take on Albury United, Wodonga Diamonds meet Twin City, Myrtleford host Cobram, while St Pats welcome Albury Hotspurs.
