Miss Amelie Gourmet adds Platform 9 to the mix in new Myer Centrepoint store

Miss Amelie Gourmet opened in Myer Centrepoint opposite Dymocks Albury late last week in premises previously occupied by Hudsons Coffee Albury.

It had operated a pop-up store opposite Woolworths since late November.

Miss Amelie Gourmet co-owner David Kapay said the response to the Albury pop-up justified the permanent presence north of the border.

"It has been absolutely super from the get-go," he said.

"The feedback has been amazing and the only thing we were missing until now was the coffee."

Miss Amelie Gourmet's new Albury outlet offered Platform 9 Coffee Roasters brews, house-made French-style pastries, gourmet pies and lunch options as well as chef-prepared take-home dinner packs, cheese and charcuterie.

Kapay said they could seat 40 in the new premises fronting Olive Street.

"It's an open space, it's really inviting," Kapay said.

"We've been trying to get the right balance for our staff to offer the best service with the right amount of interaction with customers."

Kapay said as they settled into Albury permanently, they would continue to expand their offerings.

"We'll have a gelati bench; something for the kids," he said.

Miss Amelie Gourmet is a joint venture by Junction Place fine dining restaurant Miss Amelie owners David and Sally Kapay and their business partners Ken and Rachel Little and Jim and Nicky Myers.

It employs 18 staff across three sites (Albury, Wodonga and Wagga) while Miss Amelie employs five chefs and nine front of house staff.

Canberra is still on the radar for Miss Amelie Gourmet in future.
