Cassar helped Yarrawonga to their season opening win against Albury on the weekend, in what marked the first game in more than 12-months for many players.
She now has two fans to cheer her on come game day, with baby Louis joining older brother Raf.
The weekend also marked the first time Cassar and former Panthers' star Sarah Senini had the chance to team up in Pigeon's colours, with Senini also returning to the court after the arrival of her son Billy.
"After having Louis, I just couldn't wait to get back," Cassar said.
"I was fortunate enough a few years ago to play interleague with Sarah.
"She's such an amazing player and it's great to still be able to learn from someone else.
"I think we complement each other, so I'm looking forward to the season ahead."
Yarrawonga's attack end has received a shake-up in the season off, with new wing-attack Sharni Hazelman starring in her debut after joining the club from Barooga.
"She adds a third dimension," Cassar said.
"We all offer something different, which is exciting."

Cassar admitted it's shaping up to be an exciting season for the Pigeons under the leadership of fellow premiership players Laura Irvine and Hannah Symes.
"They're both just such great players and leaders on the court," she said.
"They set the bar to a really high standard.
"For the young girls, it's so exciting to see them coach with such passion.
"Having quite a lot of players that are versatile, we're working out what the best combinations are."
While she remained busy during the time away from the court, Cassar admitted it's great to see Ovens and Murray netball being played again.
"I probably missed the socialisation that comes with it, so it's just great to be back out there," she said.
"I think everyone was in the same boat and was a bit nervous going in after having so much time off."
Yarrawonga's next test will be against Lavington on Sunday, with the clash to mark Senini's first time coming up against her former club.
Wodonga Raiders and reigning premiers Wangaratta will meet on Good Friday for a twilight game.
Corowa-Rutherglen will take on Wodonga, Wangaratta Rovers will meet Albury and Myrtleford will host North Albury to round out the Easter weekend fixture.
