The Border product showed some positive signs in the five-day Australian camp.
Carty put herself in contention when she performed well at an elite trial match and was asked back for a second trial at the start of March where she earned selection for the national camp with the Junior Matildas.
A squad of 26 players was selected from New South Wales, Victoria, ACT and Queensland.
The camp included six training sessions, a 90-minute match, a talk from the Matildas nutritionist, recovery sessions and video analysis after the game.
Carty enjoyed the chance to spend a week as a professional footballer.
"It was an awesome experience to be a part of," she said.
For all games and training sessions, the girls wore GPS trackers and the team physios and sport scientists recorded the information.

Head coach Rae Dower said she is really excited about the new group.
"It seems like every age cohort, we get probably a little bit more skill development, a little bit more creativity and a little bit more technically evolved," she said.
"It seems like a lifetime ago that we were together in September 2019 with the last group. We've got an extended group of players that we've been keeping an eye on since the 2019 National Youth championships in July."
Carty remains in the squad and will continue to train as national selectors keep tabs on her progress across the next six months.
Round one of the AFC Women's Under-17 Asian Cup qualification is at Cessnock in September, with Australia out to book its place in the tournament to be held in April, 2022.
The host nation of the event is yet to be announced.
"I'm really excited to be able to show the rest of Australia in their own backyard what these kids can achieve," Dower added.
If she wasn't busy enough, Carty also travelled to Melbourne to compete at the Athletics Australia National Multi Championships in a heptathlon last week.
