Wodonga coach Jordan Taylor is confident the pre-season his side has put in will hold it in good stead against Corowa-Rutherglen at John Foord Oval on Saturday.

The Bulldogs are significantly fitter under Taylor, but depth will be tested early after season-long injuries to McKye Turner (knee) and assistant coach Steve Murray (pectoral) in the pre-season.
"The young boys are fit and hungry," Taylor said.

"Our strength and conditioning coach has said we've upped the running dramatically since last pre-season.
"The style we want to play needs to be high energy, so I'm pretty positive with the pre-season.
"I understand we're young. We haven't got the experience of other clubs and we're going to make mistakes, but I think we'll have great improvement this year."
It will be a good test for the young Dogs against a Roos side at a similar stage in its development.

"From what I understand, they'll be very honest and hard, especially at home," Taylor said.
"From my perspective, we need to match that early, and if we can, I feel like we'll run over the top of them."
