The Bulldogs nabbed their first win, and one of their best since last playing finals in 2009, with a comeback upset over Yarrawonga.
The club's most experienced player Tom Johnson admits the celebrations resembled a premiership, but the Bulldogs only need to look to Corowa-Rutherglen's first fortnight for guidance.
The long-time battlers edged out Wodonga in round one, but an inaccurate first quarter (1.7) against Albury torpedoed any hopes of another upset.
"We ran out of legs against Corowa-Rutherglen, that's what did us in the end, but against 'Yarra' we just ran the whole day," Liam Andrews explained.
