Creators Art Space relaunched in Gateway Village on Friday night with a members' exhibition following up on Saturday with a makers' market.
The members' exhibition, Re-Creation 2021, runs until Sunday, May 16.
Creators Art Space vice-president Paul Temple said COVID-19 had been tough for the arts sector.
He said the gallery had tried to reopen three times.
"We had three almost start-ups," he said.
"There was the first border closure, then when Victoria closed the border with the checkpoint in the middle of Gateway Village it wasn't worth opening."
IN OTHER NEWS:
Mr Temple said arts groups were struggling with fewer members and workshops.
"We hope the relaunch will get them back," Mr Temple said.
The makers' market runs outside Creators Art Space on Saturday from 9am to 1pm. The gallery opens Thursday to Saturday, 10.30am to 4pm.
