Mathey joined the A-grade side this season after being elevated from the club's under-16s.
"I don't really know what to expect, but I know it'll be tough," Mathey said.
While the young goal-shooter admitted her transition into the senior ranks has been a change, she's enjoying working in goals alongside league life-member Kylie Murphy.
"It's good having her there to mentor me," Mathey said.

"I think after last week when we didn't have the House girls or our coach, we should be more settled from now on," Pryse said.
"The first couple of weeks we were shifting players a bit from A and B grades, but that should settle.
"There's a good feel at the club this season."
