At 28, the former tagger has been out of the juniors for a decade now, but has generally played either under 18s or reserves on the significant occasion.
"I've always seemed to miss the game, whether it was through selection or injuries, I haven't played too many (senior games), maybe one," he admitted.
"It's been one of those days I want to be a part of, so I'm pretty excited about this weekend."
Blomeley has been transformed from a specialist run-with player to a small forward this season.
"It's been good up in the forward line," he offered.
"It's just trying to bring that relentless pressure, the coaches are always on us about bringing that pressure around the forward line."
