Team captain Sally Bulle led the way with three sets in the 4-37 to 2-25 victory against Sands.
Wurtz (4-32) was marginally too strong for Bourke (2-30), with Kara Curphey undefeated.
In section two, Smith dropped the first two sets to Aylmore but regained its composure to win the next four and prevail 4-32 to 2-21.
Kerrie Smith and Wendy Howard combined to win 6-0 in the doubles, while Abby Paton and Angela Quirk followed suit with the same result.
Scammell was too strong for Lee as Trish Scammell and Sue Carlin captured three sets apiece.

In section three, Robyn Jones, Zara Merritt, Gillian Dwerryhouse and Susie Finlay guided Jones to a big win against Huckstepp.
Cannon's Michelle Forrest, Juleen Cannon, Anni Connelly and Enid Antone teamed up well to defeat Dihood.
Weekend pennant resumes on Saturday with teams represented from Albury, East Albury, Forrest Hill, Glenly, Lavington, St Patrick's, Thurgoona and Wodonga to set up a strong winter competition.
Country team Walla Walla and players from Kiewa-Tangambalanga, Baranduda, Granya, Bellbridge, Bethanga and Bungowannah will also join the winter competition.
