It's not often an Upper Murray club signs a player that has done a pre-season in the Ovens and Murray, but it's happened at Cudgewa.

The return of Kylin Morey to the Blues has set tongues wagging and he slotted in perfectly with nine goals in the club's impressive round one victory against Tumbarumba.
Morey trained with Albury over summer, but decided to head back to Cudgewa where he played two games in 2019.
Cudgewa on-baller Jake Vinge said the former Brock-Burrum star has already made a huge impact.
"He's the most dedicated. Before every training he gets there and runs about five laps," he said.
"He's always hectic during training and then he'll do another five laps after. He's super fit.
"He only played a couple of games in 2019, but he's back for good now he reckons.
"It all falls on Kylin. He's the inspiration (laughs)."
Vinge himself is a noted goal-kicker, having booted 30 in 2019 and 41 in 2018, while Ben Hall finished 2019 with 97 and kicked six first-up.
"I might push for Kylin's spot at full forward," Vinge laughed.
"Mitch Pynappels is playing forward this week too. We call him the backbone of the club and he's going forward to kick goals."
The return of football in the Upper Murray has been important for Vinge who spent several weeks helping his father, Ray, protect the family farm from the devastating bushfires last year.

"We didn't actually get anything burnt, we were right on the edge of it and dodged it a bit," he said.
"It will be good for the community to have footy back after the fires, it will take everyone's mind off it a bit.
"It's just good to be back around the people.
"It's a good family club. It's one of the best club I've been at because they look after you.
"Thursday nights everyone is there and the clubrooms are full.
"I imagine there will be a lot there for our first home game on the weekend."
The Blues host Federal on Saturday which lost a thriller to arch rivals Corryong in its first game of the campaign last weekend.
"It will be an interesting one this week," Vinge added.
Vinge played in Cudgewa's heartbreaking grand final loss to Bullioh in 2019, but was a member of the Blues last premiership side in 2015 early in his senior career.
It's been a long wait to get back, but Vinge is confident the side can respond.
In the weekend's other game, Corryong hosts Tumbarumba, with the Roos full of confidence after a shock victory against reigning premiers Bullioh last weekend.
Bullioh has the bye.
