The Saints had a golden run when in the league from 1958 to 1976, winning three premierships and reaching the grand final on 10 occasions.
This weekend carries extra significance as Lavington did the double with its reserves also 1971 premiers.
Premiership player and reunion organiser Bill Thomas said around 100 people are set to attend at Albury's Commercial Club on Saturday.
ALSO IN SPORT:
"The club went into the league in 1958 and in the 18 years they were in it they played in 10 senior grand finals," Thomas said.
"When the reserve grade started in 1968, they played six grand finals in nine years and won five. They won the three years they were in the third grade as well."
Such was the success of Lavington in the 1970s, the club had three senior sides in the Tallangatta league in 1974, but one was disbanded to play in the Hume league for the next two seasons.
Lavington was in the Farrer league in 1977 and 1978, before it joined the Ovens and Murray in 1979.
