Her works in Marking Time are inspired by her travels of years gone by.
There is a joyous reflection in the series that offers renderings of Australia's most spectacular landscapes.
The works are created with markers or paint pens, built meticulously stroke-by-stroke.
This method means the works are drafted one pen stroke at a time, in a highly laborious process.
This process becomes an act of marking time, which when coupled with the romantic and nostalgic images from Strand's travels, creates beautiful and considered works.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Strand was selected to exhibit as part of MAMA's Open Call program during 2018; she was originally meant to show last year.
After waiting a year due to COVID re-programming delays, Strand can finally share her series of works.
Strand's Artist Talk will run on Thursday, June 3, at 10.30am.
The exhibition runs until Sunday, June 13.
