Yackandandah names Jay Hillary after four reserves games at Albury

The Yackandandah junior has played four matches for Albury's reserves this season.

He will need to be cleared by the Tigers to take his place for the Roos, who have stunned plenty of pundits and remain the only unbeaten team in the Tallangatta league.

Hillary was selected in a forward pocket against the Lions.

The 19-year-old played three senior games for Albury in 2019.

Meanwhile, Albury hosts one of the most anticipated games of the first six weekends against Wangaratta.

And despite posting a 123-point win over North Albury, Albury has made seven changes for Saturday's twilight clash.

It's a mix of the young and the old with seasoned campaigners Shaun Daly, Daniel Cross and Brayden O'Hara joining Murray Bushrangers Charlie Byrne and Daniel Turner.

Six players have been dropped, including Dean Heta and Lachie Taylor-Nugent, while co-captain Jim Grills has a knee complaint.

The Pies, meantime, have made five changes, again despite a thumping (71-point) win over Corowa-Rutherglen.

Boom forwards Ben Reid and Michael Newton are back from ankle and back complaints respectively, premiership player Ben Speight returns from the VFL, while Murray Bushranger Tyler Norton will debut.

Ben Bray and Fraser Ellis are among those omitted.

Elsewhere, two of Myrtleford's former AFL players in Kurt Aylett and Taylor Hunt will miss Saturday's home match against Wodonga Raiders.

Aylett had hamstring tendonitis against Yarrawonga last week.

Elijah Wales returns from suspension in what will be one of the biggest days the club has celebrated in a home and season season, celebrating its only premiership (1970).

Raiders have lost Shane Munro to a calf complaint from the win over Wodonga.

Wangaratta Rovers have lost four star players from that shock win over Wangaratta.

Dylan Stone, Tyler Roos and Ryan Hebron will play VFL, while Cal McFadden is injured.
