The Border outfit suffered a 111-38 loss to Knox on the road on Saturday, in what was youngsters Bella Fielder and Katelyn Russell's first games for the side.
"I thought Bella handled the ball pretty well for her first time up, so I was pretty pleased with her efforts," coach Matt Paps said.
"Katelyn was pretty solid for her first game too.
"The experience should pay dividends for them in in the long run."
Paps admitted Knox was simply too good, with the Border players coming up against Australian representative Marianna Tolo.

"We did the best we could, but they were just too good for us," Paps said.
The Bandits finished off their double header weekend with 64-93 loss against Waverley Falcons.
Paps admitted a slow start proved costly.
"We had a really bad start to the game and didn't rebound and that cost us," he said.
"We had our best quarter for the year in the third, but the damage was done.
"When you're already battling more experienced teams, you can't afford to lose effort."
Captain Emma Mahady had two solid games, landing 20 points and 11 rebounds against the Falcons.
Charlotte Beavan was at her best on the weekend and racked up 16 points in the second match.
Brodie Theodore also assisted the side with 12 points and four rebounds at the Waverley Basketball Centre.
