Alain Mubali put the hosts in front after 16 minutes, which they held until the break, before Luccen Olingo doubled Diamonds' advantage after 63 minutes.
Obi Eze pulled one back for City with 20 to play, but Diamonds dug deep to record back-to-back victories.
Myrtleford stayed top with a 3-2 win against Albury Hotspurs at Aloysius Park.
