The premiers sit in eighth spot on two wins, albeit just a win outside the top five.
As well as the Tigers, the Panthers also have to face the second top team in Wangaratta in their final four games to round out the halfway mark of the season.
Captain Luke Garland and Adam Flagg are back, the latter after he was unavailable last week while watching Media Award win the $500,000 Australasian Oaks at Adelaide's Morphetville track.
A number of Lavington committee members and players have leased the three-year-old filly.
The club was set to celebrate Adam Butler's 250th game, but he's joined ruckman Tim Hanna (knee) and Clayton Marsh with injuries.
Reece Brennan will make his debut.
Albury, meantime, will be without talented youngsters Charlie Byrne and Daniel Turner, who are playing an under 23 Young Games game.
Co-captain Jim Grills returns from a knee complaint, while Mitchell Scott has earnt a recall.
For the first time this season, all five games will be held on Saturday afternoon.
Wangaratta Rovers have dropped four players for their away clash to Wodonga Raiders.
Bryan D'Arcy, Paddy McNamara, Jake Cresswell and Jace McQuade will join co-coach Jamason Daniels (injury) out of the team which suffered a shock loss to Yarraonga last week.
Tyler Roos, who recently picked up 43 possessions at VFL level, will join veteran Sam Carpenter in the team.
Given the loss to the winless Pigeons, Rovers will need to beat Raiders, another side out of the top five, admittedly on percentage, to keep their top three hopes on target.
Raiders have lost aggressive midfielder Dylan Clarke to suspension, while Shane Munro and Lachie Flagg return.
Myrtleford has named co-coach Jake Sharp for his first game of the year at home against Wodonga.

Sharp injured his ankle in the pre-season and there were fears he could be out until June, but his selection and former AFL player Taylor Hunt has added class.
