On a day when only two goals were kicked against the wind, the Giants' durability earned them an 8.16 (64) to 5.5 (35) home win.
"The weather conditions were never going to allow both teams to play good, clean football so it was a tight battle all day," coach Lucas Mellier explained.
"We were able to maintain our pressure around the contest longer. Towards the end of each quarter, we stood up really well, getting our structures together and we knew that if we kept our work-rate up, we could run over the top of them."
Brock-Burrum, 22.15 (147), proved far too strong for Culcairn, 9.1 (55), while leaders Osborne maintained its 100% record with a 22.11 (143) to 2.7 (19) thrashing of Jindera.
