Donaldson has stepped in to fill the void left by captain Ellen Cook, who is out for the season after sustaining a knee injury in a pre-season game.

"Alissa's the perfect replacement, they're very alike," coach Kath Evans said.
"Ellen's now helping me on the sidelines and I'm very thankful she's there."
Evans admitted it was a tough contest with the Roos.

Michaela Farrugia and Jess Garland were the Roos' best.
