A Swampie junior, Ellis is set to reach his 200-match milestone against RWW Giants on the weekend.
Ohlin said he had the utmost respect for Ellis and rated the reliable defender alongside two of the Swampies finest players of the past decade in Brent Piltz and Jamarl O'Sullivan.
"Jimmy would be one of the most respected players at Henty," Ohlin said.
"Personally I've got him on the podium alongside Brent Piltz and Jamarl O'Sullivan as my most respected teammates."
IN OTHER NEWS
After emerging through the junior ranks, Ellis has been a mainstay of the Swampies defence for the past decade.
Ellis played a key role in their most recent flag in 2014, often pitted against key forwards a lot bigger than himself.
"I've got his named on the whiteboard at fullback with a permanent maker, he hasn't changed spots in a decade," Ohlin said.
