The under-15 carnival began today at Lavington Sports Ground, with girls taking to the field for day one.
The Riverina was well represented, with teams also coming from Northern NSW, Greater Sydney, Combined Independent Schools and Combined Catholic Schools.
From the trials, players will be selected for the NSW All Schools merit side.
"In a normal year we'd go on to play at a national carnival, but due to COVID the sports council have cancelled all national carnivals for schools this year," All Schools convener Josh Edwards said.

The last time the event was held here was 2018.
"We're really happy to be back here at Lavington, especially since the redevelopments, it's been fantastic," Edwards said.
Three boys teams will assemble on the Border for day two tomorrow.
